A Caribbean seaside resort conveniently located in Galveston best describes Diamond Beach. Our 3 bedroom/2 bath penthouse is located on the fifth floor at Diamond Beach Resort and Spa, which is unequivocally the preeminent resort in Galveston.
All of the condos at Diamond Beach have great views of the water but this is one of the few condos that has a view of the bay and the ocean. Starting at the front door, you have a wonderful view of the bay. As you step inside the penthouse, you will be greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico. When you open the sliding glass doors, you will step onto your private oversized balcony with a 180 degree view of the bay and the gorgeous Gulf waters. The balcony is a great place to sip a cup of coffee in the morning before everyone wakes up or have a nice tropical drink in the evening with your family and friends.
The master bedroom in the penthouse is one of the few units that has floor-to-ceiling windows with a spectacular view of the Gulf. The bedroom is an oasis for rest and relaxation, starting with its chandelier, deluxe king- size bed, and 55-inch flat screen TV (my husband’s decorating input) . The bathroom contains a wonderful rain-shower and an oversized tub. The bathroom also has his and her sinks. The condo has complimentary Wifi.
The 2nd bedroom has a deluxe queen size bed, a custom headboard, a 55 inch-flat screen TV (again my husband’s decorating input).
The 3rd bedroom has a deluxe king size bed, a custom headboard, and a large flat screen TV . The 2nd bath is across from the two guest bedrooms with a walk-in shower. The penthouse is tiled with stone floor and a washer/dryer.
The penthouse comes with a fully equipped kitchen and has granite counter tops. You’ll have 180 degree views of the ocean as you prepare waffles for breakfast or eat your favorite take-out foods from the large selection of restaurants within a short distance of Diamond Beach. The dining table seats 6 and the counter-stools sit 3, which is where the kids like to sit.
The living room has fantastic views of the ocean, a queen-sleeper sofa, and a 60-inch flat screen smart TV (you’ll never guess who picked out the TV). The condo sleeps up to 8 people.
Diamond Beach boasts of many amenities including:
Concierge: A concierge desk open 7 days a week from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm for your convenience with a staff knowledgeable regarding the island’s best attractions and restaurants.
Pools: Three pools consisting of a 750 ft. lazy river with a swim up bar and grill, a gigantic 300 ft. tiered cascading pool (which contains a kids’ pool), and Galveston’s only indoor heated pool for year-round enjoyment. The pools have plenty of lounge chairs or, if you want something more private, you can rent a cabana for the day.
Pool Bar: The pool bar is open on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer.
Spa: Ruthy's Spa is now open on the 4th floor. Book your appointment and relax with one of the many wonderful treatments.
Gym: The Look Better in Your Swimsuit Center (aka The Exercise Room). This place may inspire those of us (like me) who would prefer to have a tooth extracted instead of going to the gym to actually get on a treadmill with its spectacular vistas of the Gulf.
Game Room. Tabletop shuffleboard, foosball, pin ball machines, a billiards table, and a Wii Room for the kids and sometimes even parents get to play.
Cinema Room: If you are in the mood to go to the movies, all you need to do is step into the private theater room at Diamond Beach while you enjoy a bag of popcorn.
Kids Jungle Room: With its jungle murals, games, blocks, oversized bean bags and TV, this is the place to be for the hip toddler crowd.
Business Center: If you must work, at least you’ll have great views of the indoor pool and beach.
Beach Access: If you have time to go to the beach after doing all of the activities at Diamond Beach Resort & Spa, all you need to do is open the door on the property next to the lazy river and walk down to the beach. Diamond Beach is located just steps away from the beach. There’s no need to cross the road or jump in the car.
Diamond Beach is near everything. Just a few minutes car drive from: (i) entertainment (Moody Gardens; Miniature Golf; Schlitterbahn Waterpark; The Stand; Railroad Museum); (ii) golf courses (Moody Gardens Golf Course and Galveston Country Club), (iii) recreational activities (Seaside Bicycle Rentals; fishing for speckled trout, redfish, founder, golden croaker); bird watching (3/4 of all North American species travel through Galveston during fall and spring migration), (iv) restaurants (everything from McDonald’s to Guido’s), and (v) lots of shopping.

Please note, construction on the new building adjacent to Diamond Beach on the west side has started and is expected to continue until Q2 2027. The construction is not on Diamond Beach property, but when you are on the balcony there will be varying degree of noise depending on the construction schedule.
